Cine Actor Brahmanandam || Kalayajna Art exhibition || NEHRU ART GALLERY JNAFAU | Creative Gallery An art show comprising of 143 shortlisted artworks, a result of a humongous art challenge "Brahmam21DaysKalaYajna" that lasted from Dec 11th to Dec 31st, 2022, with hundreds of participants and over 4000 submissions. We are blessed to have some dignitaries from the field take part in our challenge there by encourag- ing ourupcoming artists. Interactive demo in watercolours by Moshe Dayan Hailing from Chinaganjam village of Chirala, a coastal block in Andra's Prakasam district, Moshe Dayan is a self-taught artist specialized in watercolours. Drawing and painting has been his childhood passion which he managed to keep alive over the years till he finally took up art as a full-time profession. He learned and sharpened his skills studying great masters and watching videos. He thinks that watercolours is the most challenging of all the painting media that requires perfect harmony between the artist and the medium. Moshe has made creatives for several Telugu movies including Tharun Bhascker's Pelli Choopulu. He's also done covers and illustrations for books Illustration and storytelling by RajeshNagulakonda Rajesh Nagulakonda, born in Chiralaa small town in South India, believed in art as a profession and moved to Hyderabad to pursue his career in art and managed to get job as an illustrator in a publication. His father was a printer and grandfather a gold smith and they are his inspiration to become artist. After graduation in science, he spent some time as goldsmith. He Then moved to Chennai to work on children books. In 2007 he got an opportunity to work with Campfire Graphic Novels in New Delhi. There he worked on more than 20 graphic novels in different genres. Krishna Defender of Dharma, Pride and Prejudice, Ganesha, Buddha-An Enlightened Life, Ashoka Mauryan King and Chanakya of kings and Serpents are few of his works which also bought him many Comic Con India awards for best artist, best colourist and best graphic novel of the year. Currently working as à freelance illustrator on several augmented reality and graphic novel projects. Oil painting demonstration by Sesha Brahmam Yeluri The key founder of Kalayajna, multifaceted talent, Sesha Brahmam Yeluri hails from Ongole, belongs to a family of artists. His great-grandfather was a sculptor who did the makara thoranam at the Garbhagudi in the Tirumala temple. His grandfather was a goldsmith, while his father a carpenter. Brahmam started off early too and did Nethra darshanam painting of Lord Venkateshwara for a TTD calendar when he was just 22. An alumni of Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Brahmam's hyper-realistic works are superlative. His works have received wide spread acclaim. He has been excelling as a designer for various real estate ventures, resorts, as an art director for movies and a ghost art director and designer for big movies and occasional venturing into acting. Apart from all these he recently ventured into granite sculpting, his ancestral artform. He cofounded Hoyasala Stone crafts and is working on a near completed temple mandapam near Suryalanka Beach, Bapatla. He has been a member of Team of Research on Culture and Heritage (TORCH)His short stories based on his life experiences introduced the writer in him to the world. Some of his writings are also thought provoking.A diligent artist, Brahmam believes in sharing and imparts the kind of knowledge which wouldn't have been given even after years of waiting to the young generation. He constantly encourages and guides them as a friend. "Portraits and self" ASlide show presentation and talk by Dr Priti Samyukta Born in 1977 and brought up in Hyderabad, Priti Samyukta completed her Masters Degree in Painting / Fine Arts from Sarojini Naidu School of Fine Arts, the University of Hyderabad. She completed her Ph.D. in visual arts from The University of Gulbarga in 2021. She has been granted "The Fulbright Nehru" fellowship for Post-doctoral research in USA 2023. Presently working as the Head of)the Painting Department at College of Fine Arts, JNAFAU, Hyderabad. She has been in service for 17 years, also member of BOS for various Universities and Design Colleges including duties apart from Academics like the NSS Coordinator JNAFAU, University Secretary nominee, Incubation centre JNAFAU, Co-ordinator of certificate in Art &Critical Appreciation, JNAFAU.
